ProstaVive review: ingredients, doses and what the research says
ProstaVive is a prostate-support powder sold through ClickBank. Unlike many formulas, its label prints almost every dose. The catch: most of what's inside is aimed at male vitality, not urinary flow. Here's the full label and what the research says.
Quick answer
- Our rating: 3 out of 5 (evidence for the prostate 1.5/5, label transparency 4/5, guarantee and value 3.5/5).
- What it is: a drink powder, one scoop a day, with 14 ingredients including stinging nettle, tongkat ali, ashwagandha and Panax ginseng.
- Does it work? The formula hasn't been tested. Only stinging nettle has some (limited) research for prostate symptoms.
- Good signs: nearly every dose is on the label, and the guarantee lasts 180 days.
- Price: $39 to $79 a bottle, depending on the package.

What the research says
- Stinging nettle root: the NIH's integrative health center says there is "some limited evidence" that it may improve some BPH symptoms, and it was generally well tolerated in trials. It's the only ingredient here with prostate research behind it; we couldn't confirm that 200 mg matches the amounts studied.
- Tongkat ali, ashwagandha, maca, Panax ginseng, fenugreek, cordyceps: marketed for energy, libido and male vitality. We found little or no research on them for urinary flow.
- Not included: beta-sitosterol, the ingredient with the best evidence for urinary symptoms in a Cochrane review. See our urine flow comparison.
- Vitamins and minerals: vitamin D3 2,000 IU and zinc 12 mg are moderate amounts. If you already take a multivitamin or vitamin D, add them up; our vitamin D guide lists the daily upper limit.
Safety: who should ask a doctor first
- Ashwagandha: cases of liver injury have been linked to it, and the NIH says it isn't recommended for people with thyroid or autoimmune disorders.
- Panax ginseng: trouble sleeping is the most common side effect; it may lower blood sugar, may affect blood clotting and can interact with medicines.
- Fenugreek: can cause stomach upset and, in large doses, a drop in blood sugar.
- Everyone: urinary changes after 50 need a check-up first. Seek care right away for blood in the urine, pain, fever or being unable to urinate.
Is ProstaVive legit?
ProstaVive is a real product sold through a known retailer, with a more complete label than most. Here's what we could confirm, and what we couldn't.
- Who sells it: ClickBank is the retailer. It processes the payment and handles refunds; the seller lists a support phone number on its site.
- The guarantee: 180 days, stated by the seller. Keep your ClickBank order number and request any refund through clkbank.com before the period ends.
- Where to buy: the official page. The seller says it isn't sold on Amazon, Walmart or eBay, and ClickBank's refund only covers orders placed through ClickBank.
- What isn't proven: no clinical trial has tested the formula, and most ingredients aren't studied for urinary symptoms.
What we liked
- Nearly every dose printed on the label
- Includes stinging nettle, the one ingredient with some prostate research
- Long 180-day guarantee
- Powder may suit people who dislike capsules
What to watch out for
- Little in the formula is studied for urinary flow
- No beta-sitosterol
- Several herbs need a doctor's OK if you take medicines
- $79 for a single bottle
Who ProstaVive may suit
- May suit: men whose doctor has ruled out other causes and who mainly want a vitality-style formula with a visible label and a long guarantee.
- Look elsewhere if urinary flow is your main concern: the ingredient with the best evidence, beta-sitosterol, isn't in it. Compare TitanFlow or a single-ingredient option in our urine flow comparison.
